Champagne corks are popping at Clive’s Easylearn Rock and Pop School in Lowton to celebrate local band The Lottery Winners, winners of the hugely prestigious Live and Unsigned national final.

The band, which includes two of the school’s tutors, Thom Rylance (guitar) and Katie
Lloyd (bass guitar),beat over 10 000 entrants to be crowned the UK’s Best Live and Unsigned Act at theO2 arena in front of a sold out crowd and an array of industry judges.
Their prizes include a management and recording contract and UK tour. Chris Grayston, head of A&R at Future Music commented, ‘I am looking forward to..working with The Lottery Winners and I’m sure we’re going to be seeing a lot more of them.’

Clives' school owner Chris Sudworth said ' For The Lottery Winners to achieve national success is absolutely fantastic news but it won’t come as a too much of a surprise to anyone who has seen their renowned live performances. For the school, it is simply brilliant news. We are all really proud, tutors and pupils alike. Learning to perform as a band is what we are all about and who better to learn it from than those people who are out there doing it to such great success?”
